Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You All,

To Celebrate the New Year and Kick Off our programme for 2012, our January lunch will be held at Restaurante Piedra de Luna in Benimar 2. A New Venue for the New Year – although you may recognise a familiar face. A slightly different format this time, as lunch will be 3 full courses ( as we don’t need to think about dieting until after the 3 Kings), with drinks paid for separately. Well! Here it is! Merry Christmas everyone, the Company Women committee has organized a fantastic Company Women Lunch at Stan and Ollies Restaurant in El Raso, so put the Thursday 1st of December in your diary now, from 1pm till 5pm. This year it will be more of a Christmas party, with welcome cocktails courtesy of LICOR 43, this will get us in the party mood followed by a delicious 3 course lunch (please choose from the menu below) followed by a Spanish coffee with a twist – again courtesy of LICOR 43.

As it is Christmas we will be mixing the networking with magic by Graham Mikial, and our speaker Dave Bull from All Abroad, will keep the party going as usual by entertaining us with his take on Spain and “The trials and tribulations of running a business in a mans world”!

Although it’s Christmas, please don’t forget your business cards and promotional material – the lunches are a great way to mix business with pleasure, and create more contacts.

We have Santa dropping in, a bumper raffle on the day plus, Secret Santa and a few surprises! Please bring a gift wrapped present for one of your fellow company women, the budget is 5 euro per present per person – the gift can be funny, girly or luxury food – just be sure to bring a present! Or our Santa will not be happy!

On another note my personal thanks to all of the ladies that supported the Lifestyle and ExpoFiesta 2011 Exhibitions it was great to see you all there and I know that much in the way of business has been generated also for Company Women as an organization which gained a substantial amount of leads to be followed up, over to the committee.

Another date for your diary is the 10th December for SOL Productions Charity Children’s Christmas Party hosted by Fairways in the Villamartin Plaza, if you would like to bring a child’s present with you to the lunch myself, Priscilla and Karen will ensure the children will receive them.

Take exit for Alicante-Crevillente and take the 2^nd exit at roundabout, over the bridge and then go straight over 7 roundabouts. At the 8^th, take 1^st exit to Guardamar. This is known as the Lemon Tree Road.  Keep going, over one roundabout and then at the next one, take 1^st exit – El Raso. The October Company Women lunch was very successful at the Castillo De Conesa, San Miguel, concluding with the Company Women and guests taking advantage of a guided tour and private viewing of the Art Gallery in the Castle.

The 2012 Company Women Awards ceremony was also announced, to be held on 9th March at Las Ramblas, just as the committee was organizing the awards categories and evening, our very own Vice-President Karen Love won another award, winning the Coastriders ‘ Business of the Year” award, just one more reason to network to improve your business!

The Company Women Lunches are an excellent opportunity for you to meet, learn and grow your businesses by improving your contacts, by networking in a social environment.

Our speaker’s for this month are Lucy Mckinnon representing FX-Foreign Exchange Services and Shirley Adams from Lloyds Bank International. Both women have very interesting news on finances!

Due to many of the Company Women members taking part in the upcoming International Lifestyle and ExpoFiesta 2011 Exhibition taking place at the IFA Centre in Alicante on the 4th, 5th and 6th November the Company Women November Lunch at “The Square” Restaurant in the Plaza, Villamartin with a mouth watering menu for you to enjoy is to be delayed by one week to the 10th November (please see the menu and directions below).

On the N332  from Torrevieja take the slip road on your right for **San Miguel / Hospital come down to a roundabout taking the 2nd exit off on your right for San Miguel/ Hospital drive down to the next roundabout (outside the hospital) go straight over heading for San Miguel and Orihuela – at the next roundabout (Los Balcones) go straight over to the next roundabout – again go straight over and down to the next roundabout  take the 2nd exit off to San Miguel (you have just come under the motorway) follow this road (about 4 km) out through the country till you come to the FORD GARAGE on your right go past the Garage (IGNORE THE SIGN POINTING LEFT FOR SAN MIGUEL) the road bears round to the right look for and take the San Miguel turn off on the right – you come to a T junction turn LEFT go under the bridge and up to the junction (SEAT car showrooms facing you) turn LEFT into San Miguel High Street follow this road to the top then turn right at the Photographers on your right – follow the road as it bends round to left (the front of the Church is facing you on your left at the traffic lights) keep going passing the Police Local on your right – once you pass the last building on your right you come out into the country, after a couple of hundred meters look for and take the 3rd turning on your LEFT Mirador Mediterranio (also lots of other tall and short signs with it). This is a 6 to 7 minute drive to the top of the road, at the top of this road you will go over a couple of speed bumps and you will pass the Cheers Bar on your right then you pass Morgans bar on your left, take the 1st left after Morgans Bar into a small dual carriage way go straight over the roundabout and you will pass the golf course on your left and right go to the next roundabout take the 1st right this is Villamartin a short way down the road you will see ‘The Plaza’ (shopping Centre) park where you can. Take the central staircase of the Plaza to the first floor walk straight on then turn left to find The Square Restaurant. You may prefer to ignore the **San Miguel/Hospital turn off and carry on the N332 past Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca passing Mercadona to the La Zenia roundabout take the 2nd exit of for AP7/San Miguel and follow from *** on the second line below as this could be an easier and quicker route

From Cartagena on the N332 passing through Campoamor and Cabo Roig come down to the La Zenia roundabout take the 4th exit off marked *** AP7/ San Miguel – follow the road passing Consum on your left to the next roundabout (Mercadona/Lidl in front of you on your right) go straight over to the next roundabout (This is being dug up at the moment it is in front of the entrance and exit to the AP7 motorway so not sure what it will be like on the 10th Nov) go straight over this roundabout going up and over the bridge to the next roundabout go straight over down to Los Dolses roundabout (Super Value is on your right) go straight over keep going you will pass a tennis court on your right then a little further on you pass over 2 nasty speed bumps then pass the entrance on your left to the golf course, a little further on start looking for the car park on your left or the one on the right opposite The Plaza (shopping centre). Once parked take the central staircase of the Plaza to the first floor walk straight on then turn left to find The Square Restaurant.

First of all congratulations to Karen Love our Vice President of  The Post Room Benijofar on winning the coveted Pride of Spain, Business of the Year Award, last week. Well deserved! We are all so proud she is part of the Company Women Committee.

We  hope you are all well and easing back into the autumn working life……now that the silly season is easing off! Our October lunch will be orientated on networking and moving money around the room. This is an ideal opportunity to talk with fellow business women and see where the synergies lie within our working worlds.

Company Women will be lunching Spanish style at the stunning location of the San Miguel Castle, San Miguel  on Thursday 6th of October – 1.30pm for 2pm. With a special prize draw!!! Our business card draw from last month for a free lunch will also go ahead!

The Castle is a traditional Spanish restaurant with an authentic menu del dia lunch, after or before networking you can also take in the beautiful grounds and pond.

For October we have Debbie Mackleston our 2010 Award winner for Customer Focus and Company Women of the Year speaking about her business and what winning the awards have meant to her, plus we have exciting news about the next C. W. Awards ceremony in March 2012.

I hope you are all enjoying the summer…….coping well with heat, tourists and the queues in the supermarkets! Well not long to go now till the queues and heat calm down a little bit, so our September lunch will be a welcome chance to get back to business in the normal fashion.

Company Women will be lunching in the Swedent building in the new Tres Coronas, Di Stefano Health Bar and Restaurant, La Zenia  on Thursday 1ST of September – 1.30pm for 2pm. With a special prize draw!!! Our business card draw from last month for a free lunch will also go ahead!

Our August lunch saw a great demonstration of EFT, plus many of our members provided some relaxing treatments. From the Alicante and Cartagina on the AP7 leave at the La Zenia Urbanization TOLL you will come to a roundabout (Petrol Station & Pets world is opposite you) take 1^st right off this roundabout  keeping Pets world on your left – come down to the next roundabout (Lidl and Mercadona are on your left) take 1^st right follow this road past Lloyds Bank, Correos and a German pub (deBaussus) with a massive yellow beer mug on its roof – keep going on this road – go down a dip and up the other side – look for a large building on your left called SWEDENT (in the front of the building are 3 large blue flags with a yellow and red cross and a crown on each flag) di Stefanos is on the ground floor with the restaurant entrance on the left of the building.

From Cartagina on the N332 Passing straight over Pilar de la Horadada, Campoamor and Cabo Roig roundabouts come down to La Zenia roundabout – take the 4^th exit off (sign directs you to the AP7 Motorway at this exit) follow this road (passing Looking Good Boutique and Consum on your left) keep going to the next roundabout (Mercadona and Lidl are facing you on your right) take the last exit off on the left of this roundabout – passing Lloyds Bank, Correos and a German Pub with a massive yellow beer mug on its roof – keep going on this road – go down a dip and up the other side – look for a large building on your left called SWEDENT (in the front of the building are 3 large blue flags with a yellow and red cross and a crown on each flag) di Stefanos is on the ground floor with the restaurant entrance on the left of the building.

From Alicante on the N332 passing Torrevieja you come to Punta Prima roundabout  (MacDonalds on your right and Fit 4 All on your left) go straight over this roundabout passing Aldi and a Petrol Station on your right – go straight over the next roundabout (Lidl on your right) keep going passing Mercadona on your right – the next roundabout is La Zenia – take the 2^nd right of this roundabout (sign directs you at this exit to the AP7 Motorway) passing Looking Good Boutique and Consum on your left – keep going to the next roundabout – Mercadona and Lidl are in front of you on your right – take the last exit off on the left of this roundabout  – you will pass  Lloyds Bank, Correos and a German Pub with a massive yellow beer mug on its roof – keep going on this road – down a dip and up the other side – look for a large building on your left called SWEDENT (in front of the building are 3 large flags with a yellow and red cross and a crown on each flag) di Stefanos is on the ground floor with the restaurant entrance on the left.
